KCACTF Region VIII - Next Step Auditions & Interviews

KCACTF Region VIII offers Festival 45 participants a wonderful opportunity to take the next step in their educational or professional goals with this chance to be seen and heard by major universities and theatre companies. There will be an additional $10.00 registration fee this year. You may pay this $10.00 at the time of registration or at festival. After you have registered for the festival, please fill out the NEXT STEP STUDENT REGISTRATION FORM, get it signed and send it back ASAP.

ACTORS/SINGERS
The acting and singing auditions will take place all day Friday of festival week. To help facilitate the audition process, you will be given 90 seconds to perform your monologue and part of a song if you care to. A CD player will be provided, and an accompanist will also be will be available. Hours will be assigned as soon as we receive your registration form. You will need to bring forty photo copies of a headshot and resume. We will not be using glossy headshot for the audition. You can bring a glossy photo to a callback if you wish. Callbacks will be held Saturday of festival week between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Callback lists will be posted on a bulletin board assigned for that purpose.

DANCERS
Dance auditions will be held Saturday of festival week at 1pm if required by the auditioners. A choreographer will be assigned to teach a routine in an open dance call. A warm-up will be held at noon.

DESIGNERS/TECHNICIANS
Design/Technical interviews will be on Saturday of festival week from 9am-2pm. Technical production, stage managament and theatre management/publicity/front of house candidates have 5 minutes in which to make a presentation. A table and power will be provided. Please note any other special needs when you return your registration form and we will tray to accommodate. Hours will be assigned as soon as we receive your registration.

ALL
Following the auditions and interviews, you may be asked to meet with individual companies.
