If a school enteres a full-length play or 2-3 one-acts as a participating entry, two individuals will be sent out to view the production. The NPP Respondent will fill out a traditional respondent's report, as well as this form. The Second Eyes, assigned by the regional chair, will fill out the regualr Second Eyes rating form that evaluates the production in terms of design, acting, directing and unique theatricality. All three forms will be used at the December meeting to evaluate new plays for invitation to the festival.

Use the following guidleines in your ranking.

10: flawless script - a must see at the festival - offers:

- an effective structure which explores character relationships on a deep level rather than skimming over the surface of a larger story,
-form appropriat to genre or style of the piece,
-clearly defined characters with real objectives, believable tranisitions, and distinct character voices,
-dramatic tension which keeps the audience engaged,
-original thought/original writer's voice.

9: almost flawless script - wonderfully engaging - very strong in most of the areas above.

8: Strong show - very engaging - very strong in at least two of the following areas and competent in the rest

7: Strong show - engaging - very strong in at least one of the following areas and competent in the rest

6: Entertaining but weak in one of the competencies designated above

5: Show is weak in two or more of the designated competencies.

1-4: Show is weak in several areas; program may need some guidance.
